• When or if I started shipping it: I’M GOING TO ADMIT SOMETHING RIGHT NOW. Like, okay, when the (pre) pilot aired and Season 1 did too, I liked Chuck/Sarah. I was like, aww they be cuties, but I’m pretty sure at that time I was just drowning in other ships (a quick check to LJ is telling me Robin/Barney and Jim/Pam (actually I talked a lot about Tim/Dawn in relation to them too?) were the ships) and so they’re just like THERE. I acknowledged I shipped them, but it was kind of an afterthought? AND THEN IMPORTED HARD SALAMI HAPPENED and I was pretty invested in it! And S2 aired and you know how S2 was etc and I remember that one time my whole friends page was literally just the Colonel promo gif over and over again, and since there was no live streaming of it at that time I was just in despair and yelling in between posts being like WHAT IS HAPPENING SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT WAS THE EPISODE and everyone who replied gave me a variant of THE EPISODE WAS WHATEVER, OMG THE PROMO AHHHH
  
  Then over the summer between S2 and 3 when we didn’t know if we were gonna get renewed or not, and I went I KNOW KUNG-FU WAILLLS like every five seconds to anyone who would listen! After that I got to know Jordan, and suddenly I’m re-watching it A LOT and drowning in my feels and I officially got really super invested into it. Then I joined Tumblr. Oh also somewhere in between this last paragraph was the I Can’t Make You Want Me promo that I got SO EXCITED with.
• My thoughts: Crying noise. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever ship something the way I did/do with these two, even when things were really bad (and I don’t mean the angst) and it makes me simultaneously happy and sad thinking about them right now.
• What makes me happy about them: Their dedication to protect each other. “I don’t want you to choose me over something that you want for yourself,” so I guess a mutual respect? In my head at least, lol. Trust and partners and the fact that they (and by they I realize I really just mean she) would consider giving up everything they know for the other. And then go read what Heather said about them because that’s more poetic than I can get in words.
• What makes me sad about them: The ending, I guess. I didn’t hate it (or the idea that they might have to fall in love with each other again, IF I know that she’ll remember her memories eventually) but it was just super sad for them, as characters.
  
  But another thing that made me sad about them was their potential to have SO MUCH MORE than what we were given in S4/5. Or even 3, because WHATEVER I STILL HOLD ON TO THE SECRET RELATIONSHIP THING AND THAT TEAM BARTOWSKI WAS PLAYING SHAW RIGHT FROM THE START WHILE HE’S RING ALL ALONG. I think when they got together and even though Fedak/Schwartz were like oh no, they’re going to be the same couple you’re rooting for, they kinda ignored those things that I love about them and focused on the more annoying parts? So that kinda deflated me a little.
• Things done in fic that annoy me: A whole list but I don’t want to offend people in a public forum like this, lmao.
• Things I look for in fic: Surprisingly, there is only so much of Chuck fumbling for a condom that I can read. GIVE ME EMOSHUNAL GRAVITAS. One of my favorite fic of the fandom (or anything, I think, really) is Back Around, and I remember when I got to the end for the first time I had to go back and re-read stuff to catch what I’ve missed, and then I end up with that Tom face.
• My kinks: SECRET RELATIONSHIP. RUNNING AWAY TOGETHER. Did you just flash puns. About a hundred more other things.
• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I used to be a multi-shipper on this show but not any longer, lol. I can get behind Sarah/Chuck/Bryce and Sarah/Chuck/Carina, though.
• My happily ever after for them: I really liked the idea of Carmichael Industries as a cyber-terrorism unit (I also really liked the digs his dad had? So sad that was over so soon), but I think Chuck might close that down? Above all though I think she obviously gets her memories back, while finding a bit more of herself instead of having her whole life based around him like it seemed like on the show sometimes. Beckman might ask them to go on missions sometimes (like Dixon ask of Sydney and Vaughn, I guess) and they’d go do that while he sets up his little software company comprising of just him and his laptop and Sarah tries out all the different things she had never had the chance to try, though I think she might gravitate back to the spy sector just because. Nothing life-threatening, maybe combat training or mission planning or within the scope of the show, designing the practice spy missions like Chuck did in Prague, because by this time they have other priorities such as BABIES. A boy with curls that make funny animal shapes and who does nerdy stuff with daddy and Uncle Morgan and who runs to her with his arms wide open so that she can scoop him up and lets him kiss her cheek. And they also have a girl who’s all sassy and smart and protective of her big brother. (I’m sorry was I not meant to write a terrible fic outline in this?)
• Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Chuck likes to be the big spoon but she surprises him sometimes.
• What is their favorite non-sexual activity: He loves just cuddling on the couch with her and trying to coax her into a) watching the tv shows he geeks out about and b) playing some video games, but she secretly enjoys going on the sparring mat with him and kicking his ass.
